Malena Stevens has called Summit County home for the past 14 years, where she has served and enjoyed the community. She is the former Chair of the Summit County Council, and has chaired the Summit County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, the Summit County Districting Commission, and the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission. She continues to serve on the Friends of Summit County Search and Rescue Board, the Children’s Justice Center Advisory Board, and the Early Childhood Alliance.

Malena’s leadership has been marked by a collaborative approach that brings diverse voices to the table, coupled with a willingness to take firm, principled positions when clear direction is needed.

In addition to her public service, Malena teaches yoga at Park City Yoga Collective in Kimball Junction and has worked as a political consultant, advising candidates and campaigns on strategy, communications, and leadership development. She has recruited and mentored community leaders to run for office, supported messaging and outreach, and partnered with state and federal leaders to advance legislation and secure funding for local priorities.

She previously held roles with the Park City Police Department and holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah. Malena lives in the Snyderville Basin with her son and pup.
